Audit Reports no longer show log on Info

I have been using the Auditing universe on Business Objects (vers 4.1 SP4) for over a year now. For some reason my report that tracks user log on instances suddenly stopped working about a month ago now. I was pulling all “Concurrent Logon Succeeded” and “Named User Logon Succeeded” instances with the report but now nothing comes back - even though i can pull other very recent data from the Auditing tool. I didn’t change anything on my report so i am wondering what happened to cause these to fall out of the data.

I believe there was a bug in early versions of BI4 that caused some event types to stop flushing to the database.

Check the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\Auditing directory. If you see a bunch of non-empty files going back several days or more, then that indicates that the events are being captures but not flushed to the database.

Check the CMS logs in the logging directory. There might be an indication in there as to what’s wrong.

Finally, upgrade to a more recent service pack if you can.
