What is the difference between assigned and granted rights in XI 3.1 ?

You can assign denied rights.

There are three possible states for a right:

  • Denied (always takes precedence)
  • Granted (applies, only if not otherwise denied)
  • Not Assigned (same as denied, if not otherwise granted)
