Does anyone know if address directories are available for Japan and China? If so, anyone’s using them, can you comment on how well they work for you?

Japan has an engine of its own even. No idea about the other parts of your question.

There is a Japan Address Directory available that allows you address assignment down to Address Line level by turning on the Japanese Engine. This engine supports Kanji and Katakana data only. It does not support Latin data. If you need to process Latin data you can only use Global Address Directory and Global Engine to assign Last Line formation and parse Address Line information.
Chinese Addresses can be assigned to a Last Line Level using the Global Address Directory and Global Engine in a Latin Character Set.

Too bad - for me, China is more important than Japan, and it sounds like it can’t process it in a native character set…
