Are DS 4.1 Transports for ERP backwards compatible with 4.0

We have been advised by SAP support to install the 4.1 transports due to some issues we have had since appliying support packs. Before we do this, how can I confirm they are backward compatible to 4.0 ?

Leigh, if you are referring to the transports provided along with BODS 4.1 install, I would assume yes as long as you are not deleting the ZAW0 function group and included function modules, and not removing any required auth (such as S_RFC on ZAW0 function group). 4.1 has its new set of SAP functions and they do not overwrite/replace 4.0 specific SAP functions.

Yes, the /BODS/ functions are compatible. Have to as they are shipped with SAP SPs and not with each DS version anymore.
