Anyone heard on a timeline for Service Pack 2 - aka XI 3.2 …?
It was expected near the end of Q2.
We are almost there - and it’s been “radio silence” from SAP.
Anyone have info…?

not sure when servpack2 is out, but I did hear that the last fixpack released, 1.6, is the last one, and theservice pack was next.
but your real question should be when is the first fixpack for service pack 2

Not really. My limited knowledge is based on this topic. Support for Tomcat 6 it seems.

We’re about to move up from XIr2 sp4 to 3.1
However, I’m not sure whether it would be worth waiting until mid August for 3.2 to come along; or just to bite the bullet now and go with 3.1 and fp1.5?

Diane, sp2 will no doubt be followed by the inevitable fixpack 2.1 a couple of months later, so if you’re going to wait, you might as well wait for 2.1.
On the other hand 1.5 seems pretty stable

My only concern with 3.1 was memory leakage with the WebI job & reporting services. I’m not sure if this has been subsequently resolved with Fix Packs, or whether it is due to be fixed with 3.2
I think what I might do is download 3.1 fp 1,5 and put it into our test world for a month. If all is well we’ll roll it out into Production. If not, then we’ll hang fire till 3.2

I’d wait if you’re not in a hurry, since we’re talking about two months.
3.0 was not very good in my opinion, but 3.1 is okay, better than SP1 for R2, which I didn’t find a very good/stable product till SP2.

I have FP1.5 installed and I am still recieving java out of memory issues when developing in WebI. I have the issue being escalated. I have not seen anything in the recent FP1.6 or FP1.7 releases that would address this issue.
If anyone knows of anything please let me know
