anyone does know what means "secured dimension"?

Hi.

Iam trying to create a new analytic in my dashboarad and, when y define an analytic filter, it asks me for “secured dimension”.

In my universe I have, of course, many dimensions but anyone does know what means “secured dimension”?

An analytic filter requires a dimension, whose values woll be secured based on user IDs. You’ll need to create a dimension in the setup area to use in your analytic filter.

Dimensions are first created in the universe, of course. But then, PM Dimensions must be created from those. When you go to Performance Management, as Administrator, you will see a Setup button on the toolbar. You go there to add or update universes. You also go there to add Dimensions.

Hi Michael,

Please correct me if I am wrong.

The procedure to create a dashboard according to me was:

Step1: We should have a universe setup.
Step2: We click on create New My dashboard and include analytics in that dashboard. Analytics could be pre-created or could be created on the fly.

My questions …

Is the above procedure correct?
I do not see Performance Management or Performance Manager anywhere. I also do not see option to create new corporate dashboard. I can only create my dashboard. Does this have to do with access? or license?
Can we create drill filters in dashboard like we can create in webi reports?

If you don’t see Performance Management anywhere, you might not be licensed for it. What version are you using?

No, you can’t create drill filters in Dashboard Builder. If you need that, I would recommend using Xcelsius, especially since that is SAP’s directional dashboarding tool.
