We have some users who are saving reports as a .txt file from a secure server, during this process BO is creating a temporary file in the individuals local hard-drive which is a security risk with the data as some of the files may contain SSN info and the file with SSN data is saved as unsecured temp file which we have to manually delete.
We want to know if there is a setting where you can stop BO to create any temporary files on local PC.
It must be WebI 2.x.y other than 2.0 – the last version I used was 2.7.5.
However, I’m afraid that I don’t know the answer to your question.
I’ll move this from “Building Reports” ==> BusinessObjects Classic (which is for full-client report-building questions) to “Server Administration, Installation, Upgrades” ==> WebI 1.x/2.x Servers – in hopes that someone who checks that forum might be able to give you some suggestion(s).
I figure out a way to come around for this problem.
I’m letting my Internet explored do it for me. I’m setting my Internet explorer to clear the temp files when the window is closed so you will not have any temp files left over.
