Can you please share if you are aware of any other third party tools apart from Live Office that can allow you to access Business Objects via Excel.
We are trying to use Live Office, however we have many user complaints about performance.

I don’t think such external product exist. what are the “performances issues” you mention ? Can you say more about it ?

We are experiencing similar issues with Live Office. The performance goes down when retrieving large quantities of data.
Also we have users that use other Excel plug-ins and Live Office makes their Excel so unstable that it makes it crash regularly.
We are investigating .NET functionality to build our own Excel plug-in, but this is currently only a prototype…
Are there any improvements in Live Office in BO 4.1?
