ALL in LOV

Hi,

I added ALL to object LOV.

When I am using that object in filter pane , I am able to see ALL in list of values but when I select ALL it is not returning anydata???

Expected is, If I select ALL it should return all the values in the list to report right?

Can anyone help me on this?

What is the use in adding ‘ALL’ to lov of an object.

Creating a prompt object in universe by which user can select a value or type ALL to get all values is fine.

But, If I add ALL to LOV , can’t we use that object in filterpane of the report and make it to return all values when user selects ALL for the list.

The first two items in the Designer FAQ cover this. Did you read them?

The first shows you how to allow the user to select ALL from a list and have it work. The second shows how to add ALL to the list so they can pick it instead of typing it in manually.
