AlignMent In Crystal Report

I create crystal report and whenever I Export it to the PDF It is showing alignment of the lines specially vertical lines here and there. But If I look at the same report in Crystal it has no issues. The alignment is perfect.
When I change the alignment in crystal just to look good in PDF. Crystal print out would look ugly.

Please advise What should I do ?

Hi Prasad
Thanks for ur quick reply.
Following are the files where u can see the difference. JPG file shows the alignment in Crystal report. and the Adob reader files shows after it is exported t PDF. You can notice that Right most line is pushed inside in PDF
while it is perfectly aligned in Crystal . I zoomed my report up to 75% to see if there is any mistake from my side but I found it well aligned .

It is very difficult get an exact alignment if exporting to PDF because Business Objects automatically reduces font sizes by half a point when exporting to PDF.

I encounter this all the time as we have to produce a number of merge letter type reports from Crystal and the font size change when exported to PDF and printed always messes up alignments.

My solution is to make the font sizes .5 of a point larger than they need to be in the crystal report. For example, our cororate standard font is Arial at 11 points. Therefore, in the crystal report, I make the text Arial 11.5.

When the report is exported to PDF, the font will be 11. After much trial an error, I was able to make the report look good both in the crystal viewer and in PDF.

This “feature” of reducing font sizes is documented in some KB articles on the business objects site. There is even a registry key you can switch off to change this behaviour. However, when I switched off the feature, the text began to go over the margins. I suspect the feature is defaulted to on to avoid these kind of things happening by default.
