I have created a Combination Chart, but cannot select the enable Alerts fuchion…
Can any advise me, what maybe the issue here

Alerts won’t work for all the chart types… could you check with any other chart type ? is it not working only for combination charte… it seems that combination chart will display in small lines… so there may not be an option of alert for this…

yes I have tried this on other chart types and it works… but why does the alert type properties show enable when you use a Combination Chart?

You can set an alert if you use one series only (as a column).
As soon as you add another series, the alerts will disappear.

Hi paul
Alerts for combination chart doesnt work so,
1.Create a column chart and line chart (for trend line) individually , 2.overlap them ,
3.disable backgrounds for both the charts.
3.give alerts.
This is the easy way to reach your requirement.

Eventhough the user guide states something totally different:
"3. Select Enable Alerts.
Note:
- For charts with multiple data series, this option is only available with the combination chart."
