Hi,
The dba’s have rebooted the job server to solve a sql server problem and since the reboot al_jobserver.exe is not running.

Al_jobservice (which i believe should start al_jobserver?) is running.

I’ve gone into the bin folder on the job server and tried to start the al_jobserver.exe manually, but I get an error message saying "the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000022). "

Any suggestions?

Is the DI service (under Windows, Control Panel, Services) set to auto-start after reboot? Try starting it from there.

Hi,

yes, the data integrator service was set to auto nad its status was running. I restarted it anyway, just in case, but it made no difference.

check if there are any errors in System event log ?
is Desginer working on this machine ? or you have only Job server installed in this machine ?

I don’t think reboot should give this problem ? was anything installed to fix SQL Server problem ?

hi all,

it seems it’s something to do with what the dba’s did.

They made some config changes (combnined 2 nic’s into a team) and it’s messed up the license file, so now it thinks it’s in a different machine.
