Hy,
we would like to create a New Group for “Adminstrator’ Light” in order to give theses new administrators very very few right (I mean, to enable them to activate/desactivate users ; and that’s all).
Is-il possible ? We tried to change right in CMC–> Applications–> CMC --> Group --> Security … but we did not find this kind of “reduced” right.

If you are on XI 3.x you would have to create new access level and name them such as “Light Administrators” with the granted rights to do what you want “Administrators Light” group to have and then assign this new access level to the “Administrators Light” group.

Of course, I agree with you, but we did not find the way to create these new “light” level rights ???

On R3, you can build whatever you want. While it may not be exactly what you want you certainly have the flexibility to build this. Try it.

Hmm. In looking at it, it looks like there is no way to separate “activate user” from the general “edit user” right. Or, at least not that I have found. Strangely enough, I find the possible rights on who can and cannot administer rights to be the one place where the new expanded granularity just doesn’t hold up.
