We have installed Auditor and is configured properly and is recording data into the XI R2 SP3 Audit database (Oracle).
When I look at the Activity Universe , the derived tables in the universe have issues with the SQL Syntax defined to create them. I was able to fix the SQL in the following derived tables
Derived_Session_id
2)Derived_Object_Name
3)Derived_Universe_Name
4)Derived_Document_Name
5)Derived_Viewed_Report_Name
Derived_Objects_Type
But have been challenged with the SQL Errors in the following derived table
7) WA_SESSION
Has anyone encountered any errors with the WA_SESSION derived table SQL in the Activity Audit Universe in XI R2 (SP3) ??

I’m very surprised at this, I thought the install, when you selected your platform would have taken care of this for you.
I have never had any problems…
What SQL syntax did your derived tables contain, MS SQL, Sybase?

My guess is SQL Server.

Our installation is MS SQL.
What are the bits from that table that you are having trouble converting to Oracle?
Maybe, I can help?

Ive implemented this at few sites on top of SQL Server both from the install and a "manual" install from cab29 and havn
t had any issues.
Just had a look at the one Im using at the place I
m at at the moment and it works ok (SQL Server 2005).
What was wrong with the SQL specifically?

Hold on.
I just fully read your post.
If you have a look in Cab29 on the BOXI install disks all the BIARS that contain the Universes and Reports are on there. You should find a specific one for Oracle and not have to change anything.

We are using Oracle here for the Audit Database and the WA_SESSION derived table has Oracle Syntax Errors.
Would you by any chance have the SQL used to create the WA_SESSION Derived table (Edit Derived Table) in the Activity Universe on Oracle.

Andys saying load the Oracle version of the universe, from a cab file, the syntax will be correct for the derived tables in this one…

Just check CAB29 for you.
File name is
auditing_db_oracle.biar.65FF9700_720A_4759_AB8C_5E33BA2E32D3
Just import that with Import wizard, it`s got the Universe and Connection in it.

Also, I’m interested how the wrong universes were installed in the first place.
I would have thought that when you installed selecting the Oracle platform for your CMS and Audit DB’s would have been enough.
Or have you changed platforms?

Hi,
how do you import auditing_db_oracle.biar file? I tried with the import wizard but it shows nothing to import, so the universe can not be used with Oacle DataBase?
I precise we took the biar files from the instal cd provided by BO.
Thanks,
regards.
