Auditor?
You have to import the Auditing Universe from the BIAR as well as all of the object packages - ensure that the Auditing connection is defined - and then active the Metrics.
This will give you running stats as to usage etc.

If you are looking for users who are currently active in the system, simply go to the Servers section of the CMC. In there look at the properties of teh CMS and that will list the users connected to the environment. If you are using a clustered in environment then you have to look up the users logged onto to each individual CMS.

The CMS service on CMC is a good place to quickly find out who is on. Just keep in mind that there is a delay on clearing up session. Therefore, the person might have already logged off but it is not reflected on CMC. In another word, it is not real time.

The best solution is to monitor the IP addresses hitting the web server(s).

I.e. these answers reflect real time / snapshot monitoring versus time based activity monitoring - you should typically do both.

I have been testing Server Performance Advisor on Windows - that enables scheduled server snapshot document creations - I have seen it list IP addresses connecting - will see how relevant these would be as that would then provide another alternative external to XI.

If you have purchased the auditing functionality, you can easily write a webi report on those activities.
