I am trying to access a universe which is in the repository. But this is exported using some other user id. I would like to access that universe with my userid. Of course I do have the owners userid/passwd. Please get back with the solution.

To have update access, you should have a user id capable of designer work
and ask the supervisor to make you a member of the same group as the original designer.
this will give you update access.
For any other access it suffices to let the supervisor link the universe (and the universe domain
it resides on) to your id or one of the groups you belong to.

Are you trying to import it with Designer or build a query in Reporter? In any case a general supervisor can import any universe in the repository. Otherwise you must be in a group to which that universe is linked whether you are a designer or a user. So either get put in the group to which it belongs (the original exporter can do this) or have it linked to a group of which you are a member.
