Dear Experts,
Since the latest rapid mart is not released by the SAP. We are going to develop ETL based on ABAP extractor or ECC tables in BODS 4.2 version.
For developing the ETL and Reports, I need to clarify the following doubts.
I have taken a requirement gathering which includes relevant tables to use for developing ETL and Report output.
I am following the below activities.
- Finding the relevant extractors in ECC
- If relevant extractors are not available need to find out tables
- Developing ETL
- Developing Reports
Since, I involved majorly in Rapid marts deployment up gradation and support issue. This is first kind of activity which I am developing based on ABAP extractors & Tables.
I need to know the best practices for developing ETL and sequence of implementing process. I understand it would be scenario specific. But at least a kind of methodogy to implement would be much appreciated

ECC -> BODS 4.2_> MS SQL Server 2008 -->BOBI 4.1
