We have an application that is running on two servers, the application is configured identically on both servers.
However on one server, when we have two concurrent users running reports the reports fail and we get the following message:
A Crystal Reports job failed because a free license could not be obtained in the time allocated. More licenses can be purchased direct from Business Objects or through the Business Objects Online Store.
On the other server when we have the same two users running concurrent reports in the exact same way as the first server we do not get this problem.
The Crystal Reports runtime objects are packaged in an MSI file and are installed using installshield with our application; this method is used to install the runtime files on both servers, and as far as we are aware the installation is identical on both servers, and the license keys should be at the same level on both servers
The version of Crystal reports we have on both servers is XI.
The application is a three tier visual basic application.
The servers are both running Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition SP2
Does anyone have any ideas, why we are getting this problem?
