404 Missing Page error when schedule a report

A big Hi to all!

I am new here, hope everyone is well.

Sorry if this question has been asked previously, I did try to search but couldn’t find any useful previous post.

My company use SAP BusinessObjects WEB INTELLIGENCE XI Version:12.4.2 Build:1316

We have an odd problem when schedule a report. It’s perfectly fine when use MS IE 8 Browser but under the new IE 11, it comes with 404 Missing Page error.

We have tried to test it under different computers, it seems BO doesn’t like IE 11.

I wonder if anyone get the same problem, any suggestion to solve it?

I also attach the URL of the page right after right click a report and choose ‘schedule’ function, it comes with an schedule page under IE 8, but IE 11 gives us this error

Hello and welcome to B:mrsbob:B!

oops, we’re already at IE11? It seems MS is trying to compete with FF in terms of releases

This is a known problem (at least for IE9, I guess it’s the same for IE11), you should upgrade to SP5 or have a look at this thread:

Cheers,

Does it work in Compatability View mode?

Hi Miss Universe, news says that MS is also planning to stop supporting IE 8, they are pushing people to use their new products, however we do get these compatibility problems until the new ones are stabilized :hb:

The discussion is for error 400 not 404, but thanks for sharing the link and related information! :+1:

Hi Mak 1, we have also tried it from Compatability View, IE 11 comes in a bit different way in terms of compatibility view setup comparing to other IE version, but there is no luck :hb:

Binary,

Take another look at Miss Universe’s post. We had the same issue with SP5 and finally resolved it by moving to SP7 (a very good release by the way). The post provides an interim solution that worked for us and corrected both the 400 and 404 errors.

Hi,

We also experienced this same problem and the solution provided in the link above worked as charm. We never saw that error again.
