Manage Add-Ons in Xcelisus 2008

Hi Experts,

The add on manager in Xcelsius 2008 not working properly in Vista environment.
whenever i try to click on add-on manager the system will be restarted automatically.

Can any one give suggestion to solve this issue.

Yes im using Xcelsius 2008 SP1.

in vista environment some times applying color schemes it is also kill the all services and rebooting the OS…

Hello Dandamudi,

Finally i installed CX 2008 on Vista and tried to replicate the issue, i get kicked out when i try to access Add-On manager. Im Trying to play with security settings right now. I will let you know if i have a fix.

Hello Dandamudi,

I disabled the UAC (User access control) and it started working fine. You might also give it a try and let me know. Below is the link to the article on “How to Disable UAC in Windows Vista”

Centigon Solutions has released components for Xcelsius 2008 that provide robust functionality and fill in some of the product gaps. I pulled the link out, as I crossed that line between sharing info and advertising, and I apologize for that. There is a Google Maps plugin on their site that is a free beta that is definitely worth checking out.

This helped! I had the problem with “greyed out Manage addons”.
After the change of UAC it is not greyed out anymore!
