You are not Authorized to use Desktop Intelligence

Hi,
I am learning BO Admin. I created a new user ID. When I try to open Desktop Intelligence getting below error. Pls sugeest me how to get below things

  1. Should connect to Desktop Intelligence
  2. Should see all reports available in a Single folder with refresh option
  3. Should not export any report in the BO Repository

I am using BO XI R3

You need to grant the appropriate rights to your new user. The best way to do it would be to create a group and grant rights to the group.

I would also suggest you read the admin guide, it does a good job of covering security. Also have a look at this topic https://bobj-board.org/t/119849

Hi,

Just go to Home->Application->Desktop Inteeligence->Rightclick->User security

Add your user group with access you want to give with below required access.

  1. “Log on to Desktop Intelligence and view this object in the CMC” in General tab ( for successfull logon)

  2. “Send documents to repository” in Desktop Intelligence tab (for restrciting access to repository)
