The backup should work fine as long as you have not made any changes in the Universe and created new reports between the last point of backup and the current time.As a precaution we keep our repository on a separate database instance in Oracle. That way it isolates the business objects repository from other tables and minimizes the possibility of accidental deletions.

Hi,
I have a question. We started final testing of our datawarehouse and by accident deleted the Business Objects tables (obj_… and unv_…) and re-created them. However, they are empty.
Hence, the security domain is gone. We have found it out just a couple days ago…
