We have discovered a bug within the storage manager module of Webi.
This modules job is to store the report (.rep or .wqy) on the server (WebIntelligence/Storage/) and each time the report is accessed to check the repository for a new copy.
Bug 1: If it is checking the repository it must be looking only at the date of the report vs the date in the repository. Changes are not being posted if the report changes.
Bug 2: You cannot change the setting on StorageManager and restart Webi for it to take affect. It changes back to 24 hours.
Bug 3: The system does not purge the reports from the server in the 24 hour setting, or any other setting. I reduced this to 1 hour and nothing happened.
All this has been reported to Business Objects under case 66967 and 67134 (case numbers are for our BO participants). The current solution is its my responsibility to remove these reports from the directory. My feeling thats not a good answer!! If you are running a server with a limted amount of disk space be very careful with this.
If I here anything further on this I will post it here.
Sincerely,
Thomas Nather

Do I understand this to mean that if you export a new version of the report to the repository, WebI does not import that new version? The only way to get it to import is to delete the REP file from the server? I hope so because I seemed to have ran across this but never verified it.
