Just thought I would relay an experience I have had with WebIntelligence and Microsoft’s new VM. I had installed the SDK 3.1 with its new VM and had no problems with WebIntelligence UNTIL I manually removed the WebIntelligence applet. For some reason it would never install again. I simply got a big black screen when the Web Panel was invoked. I could see the applet was not installed. So it appears to have worked fine with the new VM as long as it was installed before the new VM. As soon as I back leveled the VM to 2424 the applet installed and worked just fine.

I realize these latest VMs aren’t certified but I assume the BO technical people and others may be interested in this install only problem.

Steve I wonder if something like this was your problem as well. Even reinstalling IE 4.01SP1 didn’t fix the problem for me because it didn’t overwrite the new VM modules. Apparently you can use the later VMs as long as you already have the applet installed.

I have an update to this. A developer tried it with the very latest Microsoft VM 3155 and it appears to have fixed the problem he had with the 2925 VM. So it appears this may not be a problem with the very latest version.
