Hi,
We have some huge(100+ variables) webi reports.
Is there an easy way to export the formulations to excel without dealing with SDK.
Or if the SDK is only option, is there anyone which can guide me?
I believe this used to be done using Fullclient and exporting the report to .csv file.
thanks
MrH.

What do you mean by formulations? If you’re talking about formulas in the variables, there’s no standard functionality to export those to excel. You might get some help in with this utility .

Hi Michael,
Yep formulas in the variables are what I am after…
I already reviewed the tool you mentioned, it is no help…
but thanks for mentioning it, it was useful for giving me some other ideas
I already placed another thread in the SDK section on this issue
I just reviewed the whole “Report Engine Java Developer Guide” (location of the Developer Guide is: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/sdklibrary ). And couldn’t locate any useful info on the variables --defined by variable editor-- used in a webi report (XI3.1).
However, when I open the .wid document in notepad, I am able to see the variable names. But it is little freaky, for example if my variable is named as varQty, it is placed in .wid doc as v + blank + a + blank + r + blank + …
And I am not…
lets see
