WebI report

Hi there

I have been dropped into the deep end by the boss :frowning: Have had to familiarise myself with BOB XI R3 this weekend as the company’s interest was resurrected.

Please, please would someone guide me to previous links or explain how to do the following.

I am using the WebI application.

I have two reports that need to be linked; Transaction.wid and Options.wid
(both reports have transactionID as common)

If I click on TransactionID in the Transaction.wid report I wish to open up the Options.wid report for that TransactionID only.

I offer my thanks and appreciation in advance.

Regards
JohnS

Sapan

Thank you for a quick response

I associated the following hyperlink to the TransactionID on parent report (Transaction.wid)

http://atg:6400/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sType=wid&sWindow=New&sRefresh=Y&sDocName=Options.wid&IsS=([Transactionid])

I am displayed a ‘Page cannot be found’ webpage…

Cheers
John

Read this Report Linking in BO XI and WebI/DeskI XI R2 Hyperlinking.
If you have any issues, come back.

John,
Since you are using XI3.x you can get WebI to automatically generate the hyperlink for you if you are using the jsp implementation.
Here are the steps:
Be sure that Interactive Viewing is enabled in your WebI preferences
VIEW the source report (do not Modify it) in InfoView
Right-click on the Transaction ID column and select Hyperlink | New from the menu
Click the Browse button on the dialog and select the target report
Select the options you want from the next dialog being sure to select the prompt for Transaction ID
Apply and Save your changes and you shoul;d be done
Arjun and Tmarion

Many thanks for the replies

However, I am going to show my naivity and ask.

(1) How does one confirm it is a JSP implementation or .NET?
(2) I have struggled to open the WebI report in InfoView :frowning: so have been unable to go through the instruction provided by Tmarion and that Chennai Blog

I know, I know…not having much luck with BO whilst the manager continues to breath down my neck!
