WEBI USERS/INSTALLERS

I recently installed WEBI on a test server. After setting all the parameters and testing, the installation was successful, I can view the Universes and Run Reports etc. When NT/Challenger Response is Checked.

BUT HERE IS THE PROBLEMS:

Now the client wants the server to authenticate user’s with B.O. Login and Password. To do this on the server needs to set to Authenticate method of “Business Objects Standard” and on the Management console the “WI” directory
needs to be set to “Allow Anonymous Users”

WHEN I CHANGE THE SETTING ON THE SERVER FROM “NT/RESPONSE CHALLENGER” TO “ALLOW ANONYMOUS USERS” the server does not respond to the WEBI web page, it is asking
for a password to get to the SERVER first.

I checked with the LAN team they said they loaded the SERVER’s Operating system as " STAND ALONE" .

The problem with the NT/Challenger Response Mode is that, it works fine, but to Authenticate User ID and Pass Word, It doesn’t even go to the WEBI login page

Any suggestions would be appreciated???

One other set of suggestions… I worked with a BO tech (who is probably reading this, hope I get it right) on a similar problem…

What he had me look at - is the internal user (IUSR_servername) specifically granted access to the virtual directories AND the actual WebIntelligence directories? Eg, check the properties to the nodes in IIS, check the security to the directories - add the anonymous user and grant access… Just a thought.
