Yes i have Bo loaded there. I did go through administrator check the reporter. I stopped it and restarted it. Reporter had no options except to red-light it and then green light it.
We periodically get the same message (usually during demos ) If you go back and reopen the report, it usually opens correctly. We think the error originates from the middleware connection to the repository
(on MVS/DB2 via IBM/CAE) and might be corrected with an upgrade to the middleware on the WebI server. But have yet to prove it.
Hope this helps,

I am using Webi 2.03 and BO 4.1.3
I get a message,“Can’t bind to report server” (Retrieve by function import report).
The reports that I build in WEBI I can refresh it with our a problem.
Stupid question, but did you set up your Webi box to run full client reports? The default is not to, and you need to a) install bo on that box b) set up the cluster to support full client reports, again, on that box.
If it is set up, can you log in to that box directly (pcanywhere or the like) and run BO? Will it connect? You may want to stop and restart the services on that box, maybe just bounce it…
Good luck, give us feedback

and yes, BO 2.03 and up does support IE5 - we worked with BO pretty closely on tracking that down… (2.02 was supposed to, if you made the change to your .WIS file to recognize, but 2.03 was their supported version).
I have done everything and some…This is my third installation, but definitely unusual. Yes with lower version of WEBI you have to load BO separately. One thing, the installation cd’s have zipped files of WEBI and BO, I wonder if that makes a difference.
Aris-I’m running Windows NT v4.0 w/SP5 and IE 4.0.? and used these instructions (sort of). We have a common desktop environment, and use SMS extensively to “push” software and OS upgrades to our user community, so I didn’t have the *.CAB files on my PC that are referred to in the article below. If I remember correctly, what I did to fix my install was:
From “c:\winnt\downloaded program files” deleted the “Microsoft XML Parser for Java” 2. Reinstalled IE via an SMS pull.
The article says to extract this control from a .CAB file instead of reinstalling IE as I did in step 2. Since you’re running Windows NT instead of 95, your CAB files are probably different than the ones in the article. You may also be able to get a copy of this control from Microsoft’s web site instead of extracting from a CAB file. Maybe if you just reinstall IE after removing the “Microsoft XML Parser for Java” you may fix the problem.
Sorry I don’t have exact instructions.

Do you have the article for Windows NT as well???
I had this same problem and had to remove and reinstall the “Microsoft XML Parser for Java” on my install of IE 4.0. I’m not very knowledgeable in this area, but this is a Java control IE uses. You can refer to article #Q183411 on Microsoft’s tech support site. Here’s a link to the document that I used:
