We are in the process of testing WEBI 2.5 and are currently using WEBI 2.0 for production reports. We are having a problem running some of our 2.0 WEBI reports in 2.5. These corporate reports (not personal) return a WI0502 error, “You do not have the rights to refresh this document. Please contact your supervisor. (WI0502)”. This error is returned on refreshing some documents, and on opening for the others. When the web query panel is opened, I am told that I don’t have access to the report, but I am able to re-create the all the reports in 2.5 from the correct universes. I have sent to the report to myself and then tried opening the report in 5.0. All three return errors (“cannot find universe (DA0008)” and “You are not authorized to access this query file because its security domain is not the one you are working with (USP0006)”). BusinessObjects has not been much help, any suggestions? TIA

The first problem is due to the supervisor parameters not being set for WEBI to refresh the data. Log on to supervisor, select the Webintelligence, right klick and select properties and select query and Web panel and enable the refresh option. The second problem is that WEBI generated report (.wqy) can not be open in BO C/S mode.

You may want to try to test with WEbi 2.5.1 instead of 2.5. It uses a different mechanism for report security and looks for different criteria. Therefore, you may no longer receive this error.
Thanks for your reply. We did a safe recovery of 4.1.5 to our test database and then upgraded it. Hate to ask, but could forward me the six steps? thanks

Are you doing this from the same repository or from a different one?
If you are using a different repository, you have to follow the 6 steps I posted a couple of weeks ago to migrate full-client reports.
I know of no way to migrate WebI reports to a new repository.
