WebI 6.1b - *.rep and *.wqy will not render

We upgraded our WebI dev environment from 2.7.3 to 6.1b, and cannot access *.rep or *.wqy documents.

When I click on a corporate document, the document is downloaded from the respository to the corporate document directory. However, the report is not rendered, instead we get the following error message:
“Not Found
The requested object does not exist on this server. The link you followed is either outdated, inaccurate, or the server has been instructed not to let you have it. Please inform the site administrator of the referring page.”

If we create a new *.wid document, we are able to render this.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Brian

I believe you answered your own question about v6 .wid and v5 .wqy
Not sure why you can’t get to .rep thru Webi unless you did not copy these to new repository.

Thank you for the reply.

We do not have a new repository. We upgraded the existing repository from version 5 to version 6. The reports (both *.rep and *.wqy) are definitely being downloaded from the repository. We have confirmed this by checking the corporate documents directory before and after we click on a report to see that the file was downloaded.

However, the *.wqy reports are giving us a different error:
A system error occurred. (Error: INF 00130) (10435)

Any ideas?

Brian, we have not yet upgraded, but I believe that you cannot refresh the wqy documents is that what you’re trying to do?

I believe that you need to edit the old wqy document, modify if you choose, and then save it back (to either Personal Documents, or Corporate Documents, depending on the original source). Check the chapter on “Upgrading WebIntelligence Documents” in the deployment_upgrading.pdf. Simply “upgrading” the repository doesn’t do this step for you.

Are you getting the error when you try to edit the old wqy, or when trying to refresh?

We’ve been able to use our .wqy docs without accessing and saving them. If we do access and save them, we get a second .wid that then must be exported with the proper permissions. The .wqy’s do work fine though. We’re still 6.1a  .

Ours is not an upgrade. But we are still receiving this error while accessing a document in infoview.

Any ideas?
