Hi,
I need a macro to get all below meta data information from a Desk I report .
All measure, Dimension, detail object name with the associated database mapping/ formula.
Conditions used in the report etc.
Want to store the info in a excel file.

How to use it:
Save all DeskI reports that will be checked into a separate working folder.
Open DeskI Documents Inspector in DeskI of BO XIr2.
Enable macros (if you get the message that the report contains macros).
Use “Select working folder” button and navigate to the folder that contains reports.
Type in a keyword in the “search keyword” box. Use * (asterisk) for all.
Set what will be searched (variables and formulas, data provider …

What product are you using?
I’m using BO XI 3.1 desktop intelligence
and also from the Dataprovider SQL I’m getting the report generated and custom SQL if used but how do i get to know that in this CUSTOM SQL is only used ?
And can i get the report structure as well ?
Please help me out on this

The attached utility will record objects that are used in a series of reports. Usage is as follows:

Place all documents (.rep files) to be analyzed in that directory.
Place this document in that same directory.
Open this document, and refresh.
Each document in the directory will be opened, and data provider objects recorded.

My access to XI3 has long gone but I was seeing what version you were on for having a look at Bob’s Downloads. The link above might be of use as well as Marek’s original response. If you’ve got everything else apart from the filters, you’re doing well.
