Hi,
I’ve been looking through the threads for a resolution to my problem of the sorting of the columns of tables in a universe of BO 6.1a. I’ve found resolutions relative to v5.1.x however the oracle.sbo file in v6.1a does not have an entry for ColSort. I understand that it should be set to 13 to be in the order that exists in the actual table rather than alphabetically as is being displayed currently. Any one have any ideas??
Thanks,
Joe

Have you tried adding the Colsort line?

Ha, I haven’t tried adding it as I thought that it like a few other things in v6.1 had been moved to another file or possibly even to a menu within the application. I’ll give it a try hopefully does not bomb in front of me. Thanks Steve

I’d appreciate it if you’d post your findings here.

I found the file that the colsort exists in as their seems to be two oracle.sbo files. If you look in the following directory tree this is where the colsort variable exists.
C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 6\dataAccess\RDBMS\legacy\oracle
There is another oracle.sbo file in the following directory tree:
C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 6\dataAccess\RDBMS\connectionServer\oracle, this is where I looked initially and did not find the parameter colsort.

I believe that the “legacy” folder is simply a copy of the 5.x configuration files. So you would expect the find the value there.
