User Prompt

Hi all

I need to add a user Prompt to a report which is not an object/dimension of the report, so effectively one a user object and not one from a report. How can I do this please ,

I would the reference this within the report. I am looking to add a generic Date prompt.

you can do this in universe
or
add an additional datasource in WebI with a FreehandSQL-statement with the @prompt() user-input
