User Objects don't work...

Hi,

I’ve got a little problem with BO… When I’m attempting to create a User Object by clicking on the button in the query window, nothing seems to happen…

It is very strange because I have this problem on one universe only…
To create an User Object on all the others don’t make any problem.

So, is it coming from the reporter ? Or is something needed in the designer to make it work ?

Try deleting and recreating the .udo files for this universe if you have set some up in the past. Normally if they get corrupted they will be 0 bytes in size…

The udo file was 0 byte in size… I deleted it and now it works.

I can’t create user defined objects for a particular universe. I can create them for other universes, so it’s not a permission thing. Any idea what’s happening? Sure! BusinessObjects keeps all of the user defined objects (UDO’s) in a particular file. This file has the same name as the short name for the universe, with the file type of UDO.
