URGENT HELP NEEDED

Hi all
I have a table that looks like this:

Country Products Cost 1 Cost 2 Cost 3
EC DOX 11111 2222 3333
EC WPX 44444 5555 6666
EC EXD 77777 77777 8888

I need it to look like this:

DOX WPX EXD…
Cost 1 2222 3333 4444 I need all the cost titles in the
Y axis and the contents
Cost 2 6666 8888 9999 of the products object as X axis
title.

How can I achieve this… It is pretty urgent, I have to present this report this afternoon…

Omar,
I think you need to convert it into a cross tab report. Go to SLice and dice and move the DOX,WPX,EXD OBJECTS To the top of the line, press apply it will give you what you want.

You need to convert the report to a Crosstab. This can be accomplished by using “Slice and Dice” or choosing the “Crosstab” selection from the “Insert” menu. In Slice and Dice, the format should look similar to that below:

|
| Products Object

Aris,
Thank you very much but I have a different problem, I need to modify the default display of the tables, I need to display the tables horizontally not vertically as they always appear.

When I modified my table to a crosstab I did this: I put In the X axis Products, in the Y axis Country and Costs in the body: The report appeared like this:
DOX WPX
Blank (Title of Cost1) Blank (title of Cost2) Blank(Title of Cost1) Blank(Title of Cost 2)
EC Content of Cost 1 Content of Cost 2 Content of
Cost1 Content of Cost 2

I need it like this:
DOX WPX
EC Title of Cost 1 Content of Cost 1 Content of Cost 1 EC Title of Cost 2 Content of Cost 2 Content of Cost 2

DOX, WPX, EXD are contents of the Products object, not objects themselves. Any help is really appreciated.
Thanks & Regards
Omar

If I use a crosstab, I

YOu can do that, why don’t you call me on the phone,it will be easier and faster if I explain it to you over the phone. This is a formatting issue, what you need to do is move the other obejects to the left side of the bar. See it is har to explain it. Call me.

Hi,

OK, now assuming that Country and Products are dimensions and that Cost 1/2/3 are measures, I think what you want might be something like this.

Create a crosstab with Country down the ways and Product across the way.

Click in a cell with Cost 1 in it and then insert row below twice.

Then drag and drop Cost 2 to the first row below Cost 1 and Cost 3 to the second row below.

I hope this gives you what you want…

Regards,

Steve
