unwanted pause on no data to fetch

we’ve got a report with 34 queries. not all these queries will always return data. when refreshing this report, you have to click every now and then on the ok button of the “no data to fetch” popup window. Is there a way to avoid this. We know that there are some queries with no data to fetch, so we don’t care. We just want to click on the refresh button and after a few minutes we want to see the report for as far as there was data.

Hi

Think that we can do it through Macros. Lets wait for our master’s comments.

That would be even better. We can than schedule the entire refresh.

If you scheduled it, then you have no issues. The “no data to fetch” message is not displayed for scheduled reports since there is nobody there to answer it. There are some good answers in the FAQ for Business Objects here:

when i don’t want to have interactivity, what will happen with real errors? Will i see them?

If you turn interactive mode off, then all errors or other messages are turned off. There are other options listed in the FAQ post that do not require you to do that… like doing a union with at least one result row.
