Tuning connections to DB2

I’m hoping someone who works with DB2 can help me. Almost all our universes are built on Oracle databases, but we now have a couple built on DB2.

The first universe was created on DEV. Reports were written in FC to be viewed in WebI. The reports take about 30 seconds to open and about 30 seconds to refresh - somewhat slow, but acceptable for this application.

The second universe was created on QA. The structure of the database and universe are the same as on DEV. Identical reports were written in FC to be viewed in WebI. But these reports take about 3 minutes to open and 2 to 3 minutes to refresh. In FC the reports open and refresh like the DEV reports.

We’re not sure where to go to tune the connection to QA. Do we start in the ini file on the WebI server? Are there other places to look?

Also, check the configuraton of your connections to the DB2 databases(DB2 client/middleware on the WEBi server and connection parameters in BO Supervisor/BO Designer for the “DB2 based” universes)
