thick client and thin client report

Please Explain me in detail about the Thick client and thin client REport .

i am using BO XI r2 . while logging into the reports ,it will ask for id PWD
and Authentication…in my case it is Enterprise

can u plz explain me how many types of Authentications r there .

these r the Questions which were asked in an interview .

Hi Sandhya

Thick client reports are developed with Desktop Intellignece, where as Thin client reports are developed with WebI.

In Thick client we have the option of using Query on Universe, FSQL, Personal Dataproviders etc…as the dataprovider, in the case of Thin client Query on Uninverse is the only option to design the report.

Coming to the Authentication, we have Enterprise, Standalone, Windows NT, Windows LDAP Authentication.
