templates

Is there a way to create a template that does not have to be attached to any data provider. I have users wanting a standard header/footer template for our reports, so when they complete the report, they can apply the template and save it.

Any suggestions…

Tim,

Create the template
Delete any tables in the report area
Delete the Data Provider (from Data/View) Add your Header/Footer
Save document as Template (*.ret)

Apply Template to any document
Select your template from the ‘Apply a Template’ window Click on the Options button
Select ‘Apply on the Style’

I suggest that if anyone knows, how to do it, he/she tells me about it as well…
