Takes Strongest Restriction

When I allow the user from only Saving the Document/ Publish the Document in one group and I allow the user only to View and Save the document in another group, then it always takes the strongest restriction.

In other words, if I allow the user USER1008 to do everything in GROUP A and I allow the same user USER1008 to only view teh document in GROUP B, then he is only able to view the document in GROUP A and he is not able to do anything else in GROUP A no matter what the settings are in GROUP A for USER1008. Is this a bug. I’m using BO 6.1.3.

That’s how it works. It isn’t a bug.

The best thing to do is to have 2 sets of groups. 1 for product restrictions as these always are ANDed together. The other set of groups is for universe and document access. I believe we have an FAQ in the Supervisor area on this one.
