Could you please let me know, how many tables can we add in DataFoundation Layer in IDT .I mean is there any limit on adding tables in IDT.

From the documentation I do not recall any limit. I know that we have a couple of universes where the table count is well over 100 (many of them derived tables). I am sure that there universes where the number of tables is above 1000.
Of course, anybody with more knowledge, please correct me.
