I don’t think it’s a bad idea, but in IDT you can set a prompt’s default value with a formula, which would produce the result you want.

Hi Joe,

Correct but the solution in the Scheduling area will prevent any “reportsource related efforts”…in case your source is not IDT it might be more difficult…
