SPSS Files & BusinessObjects

I have a couple of SPSS format files, and I’d like to read them in BusinessObjects.
Is there here anybody that use BusinessObjects with SPSS, that can give me some advices on how to achieve that.

It may be possible directly, but may be SPSS is able to save the file in a delimited format so that BusinessObjects can read the file. I know as well that those tools can interact but I’ve never seen it.

So any clue will be welcome.

Thanks

Pascal

Pascal,

SPSS (or was it BusinessObjects?) created a script to interchange data between busobj docs and SPSS directly. Actually, it creates SPSS files directly from busobj microcubes by using the SPSS OLE model. I changed this script to work as an add-in in Version 5 of BusinessObjects (SPSS V9 at the moment).

Unfortunately, I do not know about the other direction, But it should be similar…
SPSS can (as far as I remember) as well create simple text files. This should always work.

hope this helps

Walter.
