specify data access from 'universe' disabled

Hi
when I am trying to create a new document using Full client 6.1 in the 'Specify Data Access step I have two options.

  1. universe
    2)others
    The problem is universe option is disabled for this user. Why is so?
    In the Tools->Options-> FIle locations , Universe path is a network path which is accessible.
    I logged in as another user on the same machine(universe path is the same network path) he could create a new document from ‘Universe’.
    GS can also can do it.

Is there any security command ??
I also deleted .lsi files and tried to login again. But no use…

Any ideas

  1. Try to config the universes path, not on a network place but in a local hard disk directory . Any change ?

  2. Did you check in supervisor module if this first user has not been put restrictions on the way he could access data ? Try too to delete this user using supervisor and create it again if possible.

Thank you for your reply.

  1. Tried with local path also but no luck. But for other user is ok.
    2)For this user i granted everything (ie predefined setting 'Expert everything granted) still the same problem.
  2. I can’t delete this user at the moment. Any other suggetions. Thank you very much for your time

I found the solution for this:
The following must be enabled to allow creating a new document from universe:
Business objects->Query Techique->Use Queries -enabled.
