Specific reasons fpr upgrading to 61b

Hello Everyone,
We recently upgraded from 6.0 to 6.1b
The main reason given was that server would be more stable.

Are there any more specific reasons where we can contrast& justify moving to version 6.1b? Any specifc functionality that can also be tested and verfied?

6.0 was not ready for industrial strenght. I heard that from several BO sales reps. 6.1b is pretty good. It’s pretty stable.

There were a few features added to 6.1, but nothing jumps out at me at significant.

6.1 just works well.

We recently had some formating issues with 6.1b as BO said it fixed the issues with 6.1a. 6.1b is supposed to contain hot fix 074 which is related to formating, sorting but in 6.1b we still see the issues.

If you build a report in ZABO or Fullclient the reports look ok in the fullclient but when you publish them to infoview you see many issues with formating such as #IERR, the borders of the cells and tables change etc. BO is working on this issue.

Rohit,

If you look at the Readme file that comes with the V6.1b there are several hundred Bug Fixes that were applied with V6.1b. For example here is some text from the readme:

Bug Number: 1083892
Vantive Case(s): 302444794
When you combine the FormatDate and ToDate functions, the results displayed
in the report change depending on the local timezone.

You can review this file for some justification.
