Some BO related questions

Can some one please answer few of these questions for me.

    How do you create a user?

  2. Question:
    What is the Business Objects repository?

  3. Question:
    Can we have multiple domains? If yes, what is the purpose of having them?

  4. Question:
    When is the repository created?

  5. Question:
    What is a domain? How many are there in a basic set up? What are they?

  6. Question:
    What is the BOmain.key?

You should tell your interviewer to upgrade from BO 5.x or BO 6.x to the latest BO version because they use unsupported version of BO.

In supervisor --> add user

Set of tables where data BOBJ related is stored

    Can we have multiple domains? If yes, what is the purpose of having them?

Yes
1 security domain
n universe domains
n documents domains
you can simulate a Dev, Test, UAT and Prod environment. completely seperated from eachother

    When is the repository created?
    when you log into supervisor --> admin (3 options)

  2. Question:
    What is a domain? How many are there in a basic set up? What are they?
    a domain is a seperate env which consists of a group of tables for each schema
    in basic there a 3
    1 security domain
    1 universe domain
    1 document domain

  3. Question:
    What is the BOmain.key?
    it’s a key file which contains encrypted data where for instance the connection is stored (metadata)

please do migrate to XI3.1 as all BOBJ tools prior to this release are legacy and except for xir2 it is not supported any longer
