Set default initial view

Is it possible to administratively set the initial view on InfoView at the user or group level? I want to have some users start with a corporate tiered dashboard, but it requires a Java upgrade for them to view the dashboard list in the Preferences section, and our IS dept does not want to push out that upgrade. I’d like to be able to set that initial view in CMC if it’s possible.
