Sending a File to a Mapped Drive thru Broadcast

On NT?
I think there is a trick there… If you map the drive via the server, you need to have that machine up and logged in - if not, the mapped drives aren’t.

You may do better to set up a share on that server, map to that…?

Just a thought - we ran into this with setting up Access database sources, in ODBC… I would map the drives, set up ODBC, drop out - the source would immediately fail - no drive available, do database.

Good Luck,
Brent

Agent

We are trying to send files to the Broadcast Agent Server and have the
service deposit these files in our specified mapped drive. The letter of
the mapped drive is the same on the server and on the client machine. We
have only been successful in having the broadcast agent place the file in
the “c:” drive. Is there a setting in Broadcast Agent that we need to
configure to make this happen? Will Broadcast Agent allow us to write a
file to a mapped drive?
