security in BO

hi

i wanted to know about the security options that can implemented in BO at the universe level.
for instance there are a few cities and i want only a few of the users to access some of the cities in the list . what would be the optimum way to implement this security?

You need to implement row level security.
But to do this you need to have security information attached to the datatable, which will help you with the list of users and the cities they can view using the BOUSER variable.
Look at the row level security concept in Designer guide and also in BOB.

Dear “myuserid” – we discourage the “sending” of solutions. We expect folks to use the forum to post solutions – and for other folks to use Search to look on the forum for such solutions.

Have you done any legwork at all? Have you tried reading the relevant sections of the user manual? Have you tried visiting the URL posted above in the Designer FAQ, and in turn, looked at Steve’s presentation?
