Security concept in Universe & Webi

Hi Gurus,

i am a new BI in BO.
I would like to know how the Authorization concept works in Universe and Webi (Infoview).
Is it better to implement the authoriztion in Webi oder in Universe?
Could you please guide me and send me the documenetation as well?

Rights on content or on data (row level restrictions)?

Hi,

On a higher level you define the user privilages to the applications ( webi, universe ,etc ) in the administrative console

Later data restrictions ( Row level and Object level ) can be set in the universe. You can also restrict the data returned further in webi using filters . You might want to explain your schenario in order that someone could help you out with setting these restrictions
